Can’t Sleep Comix #1

My first solo comic, Can't Sleep Comix #1

My first solo comic, gee.

Tales of Archilocus & More

My first solo comic book was Issue #1 of Can’t Sleep Comix. Drawn with Micron felt-tipped pens, before I realized I could go back to drawing with a nib pens (used Speedballs, in high school), thanks to discovering the cartridge-loaded Rotring Art Pen (which the cartoonists M.K. Reed and David Chelsea both recommended). Great pen.

But anyway, Can’t Sleep Comix features my psychotic take on Arcilocus (whose “words could kill,” Greece: c. 680 B.C. to c. 645 B.C.). Which, come to think of it, involved a pretty psychotic story and a weird dude to begin with: the world’s first personal poet, without whom Arthur Rimbaud, Slyvia Plath, Jim Morrison, and ten million other poets never would have existed. Somebody had to be first. You can get a copy of this comic from me, if the spirit moves you. : )
